Still at my desk

I've been at my desk now for about three hours just trying to catch up on the ocean of documents and emails that have come in. It seems that the live feed is working okay again after a brief outage today.

Dinner

Vegan sandwich containing: sourdough bread, lettuce, spiced organic tofu (tofu, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, spices, tamari), tomato, avocado, cucumber, green onion, sunflower sprouts.

Back at my desk

I'm posting some pictures that didn't make it through to the live feed today. They should show up soon with descriptions and the corrected time.

FedEx

This is the Federal Express truck that is picking up my iPhone to be shipped to the Apple repair center in Texas.

Nice box of Belgian dark chocolate truffles

Choxie from Target. These were a gift from someone at work who recently moved on. Me and my colleagues each received a box. How nice!

Trying to fix live feed problem

There was a problem today with the live feed. Three postings sent from the iPhone didn't show up (at 10:45, 11:45, and 12:02 PM). There seems to be a limitation on posting via a mobile device (or e-mail) and at some point it is necessary to fix the problem.

The error message reported back by Blogger is, "You have exceeded the the allowable number of posts without solving a captcha." The captcha is a message appearing on screen that isn't machine readable. The reason for this limitation is to prevent a computer from posting random garbage to the web. It ensures that a real person is ultimately behind the postings to the blog.

I'm not sure what the limitation is. Is it a certain quantity? Is it a certain number of messages sent per hour? I'm going to investigate it and see if I can keep the problem from happening in the future. Because the problem fixed itself later in the day (without me having to provide a captcha), I presume it resets itself after a while. So, the limitation is probably on the number of messages posted in a period of time. For this reason, I'll need to stagger my posts through the day and not post so many.

Finish working on emails

At my desk

The audio, video, and media library for iTunes stored on the external drive reached 105.21 GB in size. The media collection is currently being moved to a new 320GB hard drive. The transfer process has taken several hours. There are four minutes remaining. Once the transfer is complete, the iTunes program will be used to erase and prepare the primary iPhone for shipping to the Apple repair center.

The Blogger Status page indicates that there will be an outage of blogger at about 2:00 PM Pacific Time (4:00 PM Central Time). The live feed may not be available until after the outage.

In the photo shown here, there are home made monster cookies in a zip lock bag. They were a gift from my client this morning. There are still some veggies left from the New Pi for an afternoon snack.
